Tips On Burning Fat With Cardiovascular Exercise

When you want to lose weight, doing cardiovascular exercise is a good strategy. This is something that you can do on a regular basis that will help you burn extra calories and fat off your body. While doing some is better than none, there are some techniques that you can put into place that will help you get better results with this type of exercise.

It is best to do your cardio in the morning before you eat anything. This will help you burn a bit more fat off your body compared to other times during the day. Some get light headed when exercising without any food. If you have this problem, eat something small and then do your exercise.

When you are doing this type of exercise, be sure that you protect your joints. You are normally a bit heavier when wanting to lose weight meaning your joints are at a higher risk. Protect these. If you get hurt, you will not be losing any weight.

It is best to do this type of exercise for at least 30 minutes more than 3 times a week. The more often you do your cardio and the longer you do it, the better results you will have.

When exercising, you want to be at least at 65% of your maximum heart rate and not more than 80%. This is considered to be the best intensity for burning fat off your body. Use a heart rate monitor to make sure you are pushing yourself hard enough but not too hard.

Using interval training is better than a consistent speed. This means that you at times will go faster with a higher intensity. In the long run, you will burn more fat the hour after exercise doing it this way.

Be realistic in your outlook. It is going to take some time to get the results you are looking for. Get in the mindset to be doing this for at least a good 6 months to see real results.
